Karl Mark’s “Interactive” Animated Tattoo
I totally knew someone would eventually tattoo a QR Code on their body and I’m glad this one lived up to my hopes that it would not be lame. I love that it’s a singing rose. The guy wearing the tattoo really has something worth showing off, his tattoo speaks for itself. Karl Mark the tattoo artist has taken human interaction to a new level, it expands the dimensions of what body art can encompass. Interactive art?
I expect this sort of thing to become a trend too. I remember when I first saw barcode body art and thinking to myself that it was weird that someone would wear a barcode with no data. No offense to those of you have them, but you should think about getting a tattoo upgrade. This will be the ultimate in self branding, promotion, endorsements and advertising.
This video is part of a social media campaign for whisky brand Ballantine’s called the Human API. Facebook is used to provide real-time human interaction between Facebook users and artists as they conceptualize and create a piece of artwork. The next Human API experience is with graffiti artist 45 R.P.M. as he works live online Thursday July 14, 2011 from 3pm -7pm EST. Visit their Facebook event page to attend.
By the way if you have already started actualizing this trend share a video with us of your tattoo in action.
